Got ITG Air Filters?
Just thought I would see who here in the forum knows about the ITG Maxogen air filters. ITG Maxogen Filters These are foam style filters that are from Europe. The main advantages of their filters are that they are 3 times as light as a regular paper filter (K & N), They can be cleaned with regular soap and water, and filter out much more than a paper filter. These filters are a great replacement for the K & N filter that we all have on our Injen intakes.
The reason I am posting is that I am a dealer for ITG Filters in the USA along with another company on the west coast. I sell the ITG filter by itself for 79.99, but since it is european the Honda has to have an adapter. The adapter goes for 14.99, it is heat resistant, and forms an air tight seal. So, it may seem pricey for just a filter, but it is has a spun aluminum trumpet were the filter connects with the intake and it is all hand made, and shipped from europe. If anyone has questions about the product or is interested in purchasing a filter, adapter, or both. You can E-mail. Thanks
*So everyone knows, I do own a 2k1 civic and have been on the board for quite some time, but never joined and posted until today! Thanks to all who have posted and helped me in the past with my car
Well, I have some personal experience with these filters. I used to have the itg panel filter in my old Jetta GLX, then I decided to swiss-cheese the hell outta my airbox to see if I could flow a bit more air into the engine. This worked but it also clogged the foam pretty badly...I would need to clean it every 2 weeks. Switched to a K&N panel filter and it did not clog up as badly, as I was able to go about 7-8 weeks between cleanings
!
Later, I got a stock airbox and tested the same two filters...again, the itg panel filter clogged up with dirt a lot faster than the K&N.
This to me was the deciding factor...K&N all the way.

foam filters always clog quickly when exposed directly inside the engine bay... but the benefit is you just wash em out with soap and water every time it starts to get dirty.
i dunno about you guys, but those maxogen airbox kits actually look pretty interesting... i might look in to rigging one of those in my civic.

Everyone is a critic! I never said you would get 50 horses out of it, or your car would beat a ferrari, I just wanted to offer the product that I sell and that I belive is superior to the other brands, namely K&N. These are used on many high end european cars such as BMW and Lotus. I just want to give the Honda owners, like myself, a chance to try something new and improved.
If anyone is interested in purchasing the filter w/adapter ($94.99), or has questions you can e-mail me. I promise to respond quickly. I place an order twice a month due to the large cost of shipping from overseas, although when I get a minimum of 10 orders I will place the order right away. As for the carbon fiber airbox I will be getting a price and will relay the info to everyone as soon as I get it. Thanks.

what are the tech specs on the filter. the site doesn't say anything about how well it filters. like how small of particles does it filter out or how many cfm it flows ect... will they be making a drop in, whole qintake, or is it just the end filter?

To answer your questions, I will put together a list with the specifics of the filter within the next day and post it. They do make a drop in, but not for our cars, same story with the intake. They do make a carbon fibre airbox which the filter slips into and then can be connected to an intake. I already had some requests for this and I am getting prices as we speak. The filter I am refering to is an end filter much like the K&N that is included with the injen intakes, but it is a high quality replacement. I'll let you know soon about specs for the filter and prices on the airboxes.
