Rep Power: 0 why would u want ur rear end to be lighter???????
I have enough problem frum keeping it from goin airborn at high speed,
that's why i added a spoiler.
In my opinion it's a waste of money.

Rep Power: 0 If my car was black, then I would consider doing a CF trunk, but otherwise, I think it would look really out of place. But who knows, I thought the Inca Pearl, Ralle Reds were ugly for our cars.
I even thought a Carbon Fiber hood would look nasty on our cars as well. Boy was I wrong.
So the point is, if *you* see potential with the CF Trunk, then by all means get it!!

BTW that is the same CF hood I have. It doesn't fit perfectly on our cars. While the picture below is dated, because my front bumper is pushed in. I have since fixed that, and while it fits *better* its not a perfect fit.

Rep Power: 0 Silver2k1Dood where did you get those pics of that silver 2k1 vic?
SugarRay the hood that was posted of that silver vic fits perfectly. There is no gap at all. He still hasn't put the washer nozzels in yet but I don't think he ever will.

Rep Power: 0 I might get it just because Im taking off my aluminum wing nd the body shop was quoting me alot of money to get it spot welded , and sprayed. So i might be better off getting the cf trunk lid, btw I have a black car i think it will look pretty good.

Rep Power: 389 those are pics from fiberimages website. For our cars you can get a CF hood, trunk, and coupe rear deck. I am assuming fenders will be out soon. CF is way overpriced.
IF you really want CF performance get this!!

Rep Power: 396 I have the FI CF hood as well. I wrote a review up in the reviews section a long long time ago and it has since disappeared. The fitment isn't that bad actually. I had other issues with it. For one, there was a little piece of CF missing on the edge. You can't see it till you get very very close though. Even then you have to know its there. The major issue for me was that the front trim piece doesn't fit on properly. You have to not only drill holes for the little screws that hold the trim piece, but you have to file down some of the fiberglass to get that trim piece to fit. Not a fun thing to do to something that costs so much. Plus the light shines through the CF weave when you open the hood; I heard this is common though.
For fitment I had to modify the stock hood hinges. I had to elongate the holes so that I could slide the whole hood forwards and backwards. Actually, I still need more adjustment. I'll be getting new hood hinges and experimenting on those to get things right. Besides that it's a nice hood. I haven't seen other CF hoods up close, but I think this one is allright. Oh yeah, you have to drill out a ton of holes to transfer all of the little accessories from the stock hood to the CF hood. You know, all of the rubber tid bits and windshiled wiper nozzles. That was a pain, but it wasn't too bad. Oh yeah, one more thing. You'll need a weaker latch spring. You can get one from Home Depot. just take out the latch mechanism, take out the latch spring and go to Home Depot or Lowel's to get a weaker one. That way you can shut your hood easily.
Oh yeah, I've been up to 110mph with this thing and the stock latch held. I'm not retarded though, so I'm going to be adding hood pins anyway. Not only for the added security, but I think they look hawt as well.
