Rep Power: 0 Tinted window question...
I plan on getting my windows tinted at some point in the near future. Nothing special, no mirror tints or anything ,just a light colored tint. I jsut wanted to know whats a good %? I don't want mine to be really dark. Even 35% seems to dark for my liking. I've seen some cars with a nice light tint on them, but I don't know the %. thanks

Rep Power: 394 35% should be good for you. That's what I have. Anything lighter is too light IMO. Mine is a little too light in the sunshine, but also a little too dark at night.

Rep Power: 0 I got 50% on the front and 20% on the back. It's not too far past legal so I don't get hassled by the cops too much. It doesn't affect drivability at night time or anything, but it's too light on bright days.

Rep Power: 309 i got 20% all around.. and 5% windsheild.. one thing u have to know about tint.. when you are sitting inside and look out to your side mirrors.. u will notice that the tint reflects everything inside your car.. so wen u look out to the mirrors u will see reflection of the vents etc..
not that big of a deal but takes a lil getting used to

Rep Power: 0 I thought 35% was too dark too but I was convinced by people here that it wasn't. I got 35% tint all around and you can see out at night fine. Sometimes I wish I could of got a darker tint but not like 20%.

Rep Power: 0 I have 35% on my black sedan and it sucks. It looks very light aganst the black and is just too light period. When you can see out without any problems at night, you know it's not dark enough. Stupid inspection....

Rep Power: 0 I had 32% on my last car on the front drive and passenger windows never will again I hate it so as you can tell from my sig I went real dark and loved it ever since. All comes down to taste and people who like to stare at you for no reason hate that I don't have that issue anymore well during the day they can still see a little, also I like to keep my stuff out of view.

Rep Power: 0 I have llumar platinum plus 35% tint. I love it. In some light conditions my windows look pitch black, but in others the windows look like a mirror staring back at you. I could have gotten 20% but they said it would make my windows look like a solid mirror no matter what. 35 is the darkest you can get in SC. For some reason cops really hate mirror tint but are cool with just plain dark windows, so I decided to keep it legal.
