LOL

I had 100w hyper whites in my 97 civic and they lasted for ever. I put the same bulbs in my 2k1 and they lasted about 6 months before one of them blew up inside my housing!!! But that was back when I drove with my lights on all the time, so I think that had something to do with it. Also, I've heard of people melting their wiring harness because they had high wattage bulbs and drove with their lights on all the time. I guess they just get really hot from being on all the time and can't take the heat. Anyway, I now have another set of hyper whites and I only turn them on when I need em. I've had them for about 7 months and no sign of blowing up.

You guys gotta watch though, my buddy used the same ones in his 01 Altima, he ended up literally melting the wiring harness for his headlights...cost him a lot to get it fixed too...

I had 100's for my high beams on my 88 Civic and I didn't have any issues and they are still running good but on my new ride I did low wattage just to be safe.

had 100w for a while, no problems.. as far as someone else asking about the cops.. the amount of attention you attract is a total equation depends on how modded out your car is and also what color the bulbs are.. sure purple bulbs ona car with rims, spoiler, loud exhaust, tints etc will attract a lot of attention.. those same bulbs on a totally stock car may just be overlooked. also depends on if it is near the end of the month and the cop needs to meet his quotas...

I have been running 110 watt for a while with no problem. As for the lights exploding that is because while you were installing them you touched the glass part of the bulb and the oil from you fingers got on them and got hot when the lgiths were on. The lights don't attract alot of attension from the cops in new york at all. i even have read parking lights and turn signals

I just bought some 100w bulbs since my other 55w h1's blew out. I didnt notice they were 100w . Would I risk ruining my wires, or the bulb blowing out in the housing if I were to use these 100w for about 1-2 weeks, till I get my h1's refunded? Im pushing a 01 lx sedan (if that has any relavance).

So, if I throw on those 100w bulbs (low beam) for like a week or two, it shouldnt cause any damage at all right?
