Aftermarket security system?

So there's this little device under the steering wheel towards the left side that flashes a green light when the car is not on, when the car is on it stops flashing the green light, also there's a button on it and when the car is on and I hold the button the green light stays on. Just curious on what this thing is

Follow the wires to its control unit, then use the power of google to search whatever info you can find on the unit.

Could be for a security system or remote start.

Google part numbers.
