custom headlight question

custom headlight question

I've been seeing some people with black housing headlights and was wannting to know where to get them at. I can't seem to find them anywhere. And if they are a DIY What did you use?

u mean the projectors or the SMOKED headlight......projectors, u can get them at ebay....SMOKED headlight is DIY

They're not "Smoked".. you have to take the headlight assembly appart which you can find out how to do in the DIY section... then u just paint the chrome with black paint that can withstand heat... i dont know exactly what kind of paint people used... do a search and you'll probably find out.. Yeah smoked headlights are DIY and the projectors you can buy through most sites. But yeah search should give you more info, it has been covered on some other threads awhile back.

sup guys i have the Black Custom Headlights....My Ride check em out....you have to clear them first then paint em....let me kno what u think...

well it is the same thing as clearing headlights w/ a couple extra steps....i just used hi-temp flat black spray paint when it dryed i just put em back together...

I did it too, I used Krylon High-Temp BBQ paint. I wish I had gone with something with more gloss, but I think it still looks OK. Click the sig to see a pic. I have have no probs with the po-po. Lots of cars are starting to come like that now, just not our Civs.
