spoon wheels
ok im sure all you have seen the imfamous spoon style wheels that ive normally seen in a flat black. my question is what size do most people go with? 15 or 16? this new car will be more of go than show this time. let me know.
here is the wheel in a Rota version just incase you have no clue what im talking about

Rep Power: 0 Most people run the 15's I know, they are the most performance oriented size. However, going for show, I'd run 16" as they have 'better looking' tires (paradas, scorchers) available. BTW, you might look into Rota's ($125 a piece) rather than real spoons (around $400 each) as they are very good replicas... peace

Rep Power: 0 That wheel looks like a rota. I mean the finish looks like it as too much gloss. Spoon wheels (regamaster) are extreemely dull. But if you say its a spoon wheel then it probably is. 15's for performance, 16's for looks. Just remember that if a 15 inch wheel and a 16 inch wheel are designed similar and weigh the same the 15 will rotate faster since the weight is closer to the center of the wheel.
simple physics experiment: Sit in a swival chair, and go for a spin like you did when you were a kid. first spin with your arms and legs extended and then pull them close to your body. You will feel yourself begin to accelerate (rotate faster), then re-extend your arms and legs and you will feel yourself decelerate or accelerate in the negative direction. I know its stupid, but it gives you an idea of what a car goes through when people install 18 inch chrome wheels.

Rep Power: 0 I just put 15in rota subzeros on my car yesterday. The wheels look nice but the sidewalls look huge. I went with the 15in for the weight savings. The 16in rotas only weigh like a couple lbs more but the 16in tire weighs about 5lbs more. My wheel/tire combo (stock firestones) should weight around 28-29lbs each. With the stock setup coming in at 40-43lbs that's a pretty good reduction in my opinion.
I wanted the TE37 which weigh just over 8lbs for 15s and around 9lbs for 16! However, they are about $330 each!
