Tanabe disappointment...
hey ppl, my friend just got his tanabe racing medallion for his 2000 celica and he told me that it was axle back only. i also talked to my hook-up online and he said that the tanabe racing super medallion would be the same as the racing medallion...which means....THAT THEY ARE ALL AXLE BACK!!! sigh...does anyone know for sure that the racing super medallion for the 2k1 civic ex coupes are catback or just axleback/rear section only? if they are just rear section/axleback then we are definately going to need a center section or mid pipe. i just thought i share this with all of you. info PLEEZE!

its catback....there is no way that an axel back tanabe super rm could fit since the bends in the pipe are different and the way the bolts are positioned, they wouldnt bolt into the mid pipe on our car....they messed up what they sent to your friend
The Celica is an axle back because the headers, cat, and axle back portion is a solid welded peice. That is only for the GT, I think. The GTS could be a different story. My friend has the super medallion for his GT. Its still loud and runs great. The GT is a lot faster than our cars. I was at full throttle and he was at half throttle and he still pulled on me. Damn him for getting a 5-speed.
