Revolutions Motorsports had a Group Buy recently for $500 (including shipping) for the 16" Rota Slipstreams. You could try to get in touch with them to see if that price is still good.

That's about is cheap as it's going to get. I have been looking at those wheels for months. The cheapest I have ever seen the 15s is $450 shipped. None of the real big stores carry the rotas so there a little harder to get real cheap. Keep your eye on the group buy center.

That's as cheap as its gonna get unless you go on Ebay. And I haven't seen the 16in on there in awhile.

What material are these wheels made from? I see they are very light and wonder how sturdy and "pothole resistant" they are. Anyone know?

I wouldn't think that they are that strong. You would have to go with a forged light-weight rim to get a high-quality, strong wheel imo. However, if you got the rotas in the 15in size and kept the tire sidewall the same or real close to stock, it really shouldn't be an issue.

Everyone I've talked to says the Rota Slipstream is rock solid and is able to withstand lots of abuse. If you're going 16" or smaller, your tires are probably fat enough anyways that you won't have to worry about bending a rim.

Overall: Rota gets a big from me!

Hey, do you have a pic of them on your car you could post? Did you get them for 400 shipped? I about ordered from modacar but they were out of the rim I wanted. Plus, they wanted 200 bucks to mount and balance and ship!
