Rep Power: 0 Smoke Lens spray Paint questions?!!!?
i recently came across this item in another post.
http://209.87.151.155/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=VA-3400
since i have a black coupe, i was thinking about spraying my taillights with a smoked shade (not completely black, but maybe dark as the pontiacs lights). i was wondering if this would restrict any light from flowing through, and if it does, how dark would it be? also, another question i was wondering is if i smoke it as dark as the pontiacs (grand prix i think) taillights, would i still be able to see the reflector at night? last thing i'm wondering is would cops pull me over for smoking them even tho they're still red and the same exact shade as the stock taillights of other cars (pontiac for instance). i talked to this one guy that professionally smokes taillights and he informed me that cops will pull u over just because they know that its modified. does anyone know anything about this? thanks

Rep Power: 0 they might pull you over but as long as the reflector still works and of course you can still see the lights (even in the day time), they should be able to give you a ticket.
Then again, cops might pull you over for any mod even if it IS legal cause they are jerks.
I saw, put it on and see if anyone pulls you over. If they do I THINK its only a $44 ticket (in NJ) and take it off cause im pretty sure that stuff is 100% removable.
In fact, my friend just used that stuff on his Mits. Eclipse and its TIGHT... no one has pulled him over (then again he's only had it on for a month)
Okay.. hope i helped.

Rep Power: 0 its not like if you smoke your lenses that you wont get any light through them. First off, the guy that does it around here does it like window tints. He can vary the amount of tint (smoke) on the lense.
Is it permanent? No, not at all. Infact its really quite easy to remove if you have to (i.e.-you get a fix-it ticket).
