I got the Yakimas, but they were really pricey. But they hold the bike really well with no movement and they have not scratched the car yet. But be prepared to spend like 500 dollars for the entire set up. But it is the best, so you have to decide.

I have the saris basic rack showing up here tomorrow, 225 shipped, plus maybe 75 for the bike rack attachment, I'll let you know how it is. If you wax under the pads on the roof nothing will leave any mark at all, just like new

Yakima rack is the shiznit...I also have the ski attachment...with ability to add all other accessories...If you are a serious biker or skier...I recommend the Yakima...I paid 550 for Q towers, bars, 6 locks, Ankle biter (4 bike), buttondown 4 (ski attachment), and front feiring...

Any questions let me know...Mark

Yakima is all I've ever owned.........and I have no complaints. As far as scratching you car, once the rack is installed (properly, of course) you should not have to worry about it scratching anything. In other words, the installation process is when you need to watch out for scratching up the roof. My setup includes Q-towers, 48" crossbars, bike trays, and fairing (no stretch kit necessary).
