Re: Aftermarket Sunroof
the Mazda/Subaru dealership offered sunroofs for people who didn't want to fork over money for the models that came with them, yet had money for it seperately... at least the company they used, the controls looked cheap, and you can tell it wasn't factory... more-or-less, cheaply installed, so price would definitely be a factor...PLUS they weren't warrantied under the car manufacturer, but under whoever put it in...
Re: Aftermarket Sunroof
I have an 04 Civic VP model which obviously doesn't come with a sunroof. I bought it used with a sunroof... But the company that made this bad@$$ sunroof (Webasto) apparently made mine. I like mine pretty well (no leaking). However it does squeek because it's a few years old. There are number 1 & 2 and an up arrow and a down arrow on it. The 1 and 2 only work if the sunroof has been opened and shut back (doesn't have to be opened all the way though, just a little). The 1 just tilts the sunroof and the 2 opens it all the way. I don't know how much the person before me paid, but I'm glad they did.
ANOTHER THING... I think this sunroof would probably get in the way of our dome lights. Right?

Re: Aftermarket Sunroof
yes hehe i like moonroof better. and if it squeaks, you can put some grease in the tracks (white lithium grease spray or solid), and also wipe the rubber moldings around it with silicone spray or rubber treatment.
Re: Aftermarket Sunroof
1 post with a crazy long video of moonroof opening and closing 50,000 times......... I smell advertising!!!!!!! You could at least have posted prices and locations we could get it done.
Couldn't you have shown it opening at least 5 or 6 more times, I don't think we got the idea yet.

the pics are up, look at my previous post.... ^^^^
but i swear i don't know if our cars would have to be modified or not because of the roof lighting. maybe this is already taken into account. it would be nice to know.

Re: Aftermarket Sunroof
Yeah although it isnt the one shown, it's better than not having one. I dont know how much it was priced at or costed for installation. I couldnt imagine paying 600 for it since there are minimal features and the "sunscreen" isnt a solid piece, it rolls up like a carpet.
