After looking at everybodies rides on this site for some time now, I finally decided to invest in a front lip kit. I double checked with the manufacturer since I have an 04 Sedan b/c all the threads that I searched on this site said that this lip should fit. To my amazement, they replied that

"The lip fit 01-02 only. The 03-04 lip was never manufacture. If you try to buy this lip and put it on your 04 then it will not fit correctly. I own a bodyshop and test fit all the manufacture protype. The 01-02 and 03-04 bumper are the same and you can swap them and it will still fit, but you look at the bottom where the lip goes. That's the part that been redesign. Even tho the label on the lip said 01-03, it is wrong."

So I really don't know what to believe, you guys say it should fit, and they say it doesn't. Still worth me buying it? Thanks

edit: they are going on sale too so call them at (909)595-4512 ...they are koo peeps i got mines for 80$ perfect fit no hassles

@OP, whoever you talked to didn't know exactly what they were talking about. the bumpers changed in 04, so the 01-03 and 04-05 are the two different styles of bumpers, the rears changed in 04, too. however, there are a few lips available for the 04-05, including the type-arrrr, and the mugen style, aka type-m. also, if you get a urethane lip, not abs, made for an 99-00, it can be stretched onto the 04-05 front bumper. these are available on ebay, and a lot of other places. the ebay ones are getting mixed reviews as far as quality, and fit, so do your research before you buy. hope this helps.

thats a nice looking lip carbon fiber is nicer but way way too expensive for what it is I think ima gona get that type R lip.

or you can go with the factory 99-00 si lip...that' s what I have. Just remove the lower plastic brackets to get it to fit.

I think $59.00 is about right for a piece of plastic that size

Looks just as good as the lips I've seen being sold used for $100.00 by some people on this site.

I actually just got off the phone with them and they told me they didn't carry the 04-05 Type R lip. After I told the guy that it was supposedly bought off of them, they just told me that they would double check and call me back. So hopefully they still have the 04-05 in stock!

well the 04-05 lips always go out but i did buy mine there and i talk to them on occassion they are next to the WH where they have all lips in stock so getting it isnt a problem

does it matter if it says 2dr or 4dr wouldnt it fit either or. i have a 4dr so wouldnt it not matter if it says 2dr or 4dr like the ebay sale you just posted

Yea, I just ended up buying the Ebay one. I just hate having to deal with Ebay tho. Hopefully the lip turns out okay. Anybody know where I can possibly get matching sides and rear for my 04 sedan

I just got mines / stretched it on a week ago. Pretty good fit for something not made for our cars. I'm getting rs sides for my sedan .. dont know if i'm going to do the rear or if i can even find some rear
