Lexan replacement windows?
Does anyone have Lexan replacement windows? Or know anyone that does?
Lexan racing plexiglass is illegal for use on the street right? I was just curious.
Sounds like a good investment for track cars to loose weight...

That's interesting. Does anyone know if it's Illegal on a street car? It's kinda wierd, you think it would be right? since it's safer then real glass.....

hrmmm.... why would it be illegal in my thoughts...less glass shatter... but how often have you heard of getting a ticket for windows.. i havent!

i dont know about what kind is used, but the plexi i have scratches like a **** even a microfiber towel will scratch it up like sandpaper. as far as legal, idk. seems like alot of work and there are plenty of other things you can do to reduce weight.

They're illegal because rescue forces can't get you out of your car if the doors won't open. Think about how fun it would be to burn inside your car because you can't get out. Like the girl who burned alive inside her Lambo when it flipped over because she couldn't get the doors up (down I guess).

seriously, i could see this being an issue, at least if we can break the window, be may not be able to drag you out through it, but we can at least hose you down with some water and put the fire out till we can pop the door.
