I always though that coil overs had a shock in them and you just replaced your whole strut with the coil over. Now after "searching" I am all confused about coil overs. I want an adjustable system so my car is not a snow plow in great michigan winters. However, I am lost to how coil overs work now. Thanks guys!

Rep Power: 560 The full set of coilovers comes with the coil spring and the shock, they are like 1000-1300 bucks. they also come just the coil spring that is adjustable that slide over ur shocks, they only like 250-300. they come with a little thing that allows u to twist the things that compress the spring and thats how u adjust them

Rep Power: 0 The full coilovers DO come with the spring and shock and you do just take out the whole stock suspension and replace it, but like the Ground Controls are just replacement of the stock springs. They are like um....."ajustable height springs" Thats all...
