Rep Power: 0 Injen CAI for AUTO!
Hey, im ordering a Injen CAI race divion for my automatic civic from Ptuning.com of course. And i want to install it myself..and not let a shop do it for me. And yes, i know it comes with intstruction, but it's confusing on how they explain it. like when i ordered my APC racing fog lamp, they gave me instruction how to do it, and all it has is a diagram and it didnt help me do Shi*t. so i had to bring it to a body shop and let them do it, they also didnt know how to read the instruction it came with. so they do their own method and it works and charged me 35 dollars So can you guys please post a Friendly Post for installing a Injen CAI race division for me, cuz i couldnt find it on this forum, i think it got deleted or something, well thanks for reading this.

Rep Power: 0 ok wel let me tell you that the directions will tell you to take off your front bumper....dont do it you dont have to. i wasted some time when i started to take off my bumber . then i realized i could fit it in if i took out the battery and a few other things near that corner.

Rep Power: 0 I guess you can do it without taking the bumper off but it will be much easier to just go ahead and remove it. I ended up having to cut some plastic out of the fender well. It was much easier having a good view of what I was doing. It only takes like 10mins to remove the bumper anyway. AFter you get the stock stuff out and remove the battery, route the pipes and connect everything but don't secure it yet. Then, put the battery back in and get it all locked down. Next, tighten the bolt on the pipe that goes into the fender well to the engine. The pipe just barely squeezes by the battery. I felt the install was a little bit of a biotch.

Rep Power: 0 << I had the Injen CAI on my Auto Civic...it was like a fuggin' snorkle, there
were so many bends...I'm surprised my car didn't lose power. >>
I noticed a definate seat of the pants gain. Even my wife and friends that rode in the car before and after could tell the difference. The aem is not a true cai, plain and simple.

You don't have to remove the bumper. I installed mine, filter and all, by removing the right wheel and fender well plastic. It all fits perfectly.
You don't need to take that bumper off... so you guys need to stop saying that you must remove the bumper.

Rep Power: 0 With the Injen CAI, where is the filter positioned? What's to keep it from getting wet under there?

Rep Power: 0 Yea, since the Ijen CAI is out farther then the AEM, and the Filter is next to the wheel, will water splash into it when it rains?

Rep Power: 0 The filter is inside the cavity in front of the wheel and behind the bumper. It is pretty much isolated by the fender well trim and the bumper. Just take a look at your car and you will see. You may not NEED to take the bumper off but it sure made it alot easier.
