obviously SPOON hasnt released anything for our cars, otherwise it would be the talk of month for this website, but there is one easy way of finding out if they will be releasing something....try calling them! then let us know what u find out!
<< If they did have spoon engines i'd buy three of them with naws and a motech system exhaust.. Im sorry, but i just can't help it. >>

If u r talking about aftermarket parts from spoon for our civics, no, they are not planning to make any yet...
if u r talking about engines designed and manufactured by Spoon themselves, swapping those suckers our car will cost more than your car.

you guys gotta understand.. are cars are jus slow.... make due with what your given add n2o or wait for turbo... this car was basically totally redesigned for 2k1.. which took honda about 3 years to revamp... noone is gonna have relaible swapping choices for I'd say another year at least... but if you guys got the money to try some experimental sh*t.. let me know how it turns out

If you can grap a Spoon for your 2001 Civic, you got a heck of a ride because Spoon is the best JDM you can get. Unfortunately, in reality Spoon will never build parts for our cars, it's all about the Benjamin. One thing I don't understand is, if Spoon are well know for the best JDM for high performance engine like the B series, why don't they try to work on D series so they can make more names because if you can turn a low performace engine to a high performance engine, you the greatest, that's what it counts. Hope, Spoon can read my mind.
Got a freind that is looking for me a engine out of a 2k1 that has been wrecked and than we are going to strip it bore it and polish everything. Than we are going to start from the ground up and see what can be done he said you can make any engine fast its just the money that matters. We got a fab shop looking for some specs if yall have specs of the piston size and the compression and the clearance from the head to the top of the piston that would be great i think thats what he said he needed. Making some better pistons for it so that we can turbo or supercharge it. We cant decide which one we want to do thou but we plan on totally redoing the entire engine and than putting it in the car to see what happens. He said that we should be able to get 200 bhp out of it and thats just the engine no powersteering pump or anything. I am looking for a electric waterpump and a electric power steering pump if i cant find one will have to live without it i guess. Or leave the regular one on there going to strip the ac definantly and try to lighten the car somewhat and keep it street legal but i am trying to figure out how much horse power this engine can handle without blowing up. I dont want to NOS it so i am going to try to ram as much boost down its intake as i can. You think the engine can handle around 400 to 600 bhp or is that out there for that engine.. by the way novice but my dad wants to see what can be done to this car so i am looking too yall for help.
By the way what is the best exaust and intake for this car.

haha, seriuosly tho...
that damn movie has attracted soo many F*ckin idiots to the import scene.... SPOON...NOS...MOTECH...? jesus christ! just recently some idiot came into the bank that i work at and started poppin off bout a spoon engine for his car... the funny thing is he has no clue about imports...he just bought a bone-stock LS and thinks it has 200hp... i just laughed in his face...

hey man i was asking a serious question the only reason people are getting into the import sean is because of that movie there are those people and the die hards. I have been souping up imports for many years now and i know that spoon makes a good card ,but they are not the best. I can tell you that right now there are many that are just as good and for the money you can get one made that is just as good for not near the money and get bad after market parts put in them.
Yall act like that movie is the bane of all import racing think of it like this the more people that go to imports will buy import parts which will in turn make the parts more in demand which will enturn bring down the price of the parts. and finally will bring aout more insane parts for the cars like they do for mustangs. you can do anything to a mustang anything more than you can even dream of doing to a honda. just wait in 5 years that could all change because of the hype this movie has brought on. consider it a blessing i know the movie sucks when it comes to reality but hey.

Seriously, Spoon is the best JDM you can get for honda/Acura. But there are many great JDM like Nismo for Nissan, TRD for Toyoda, and etc... The only thing I like about import is because their strategy, small displacement engine scream for big horse, NOT torqe. Spoon and JUN can slam B16 or B18 out 200 hp with no problem. But in order for you to grap a Spoon, you gotta be a Guru or work at a shop to get access.

Seriously, but you'll pay out the a$$ for one. Perhaps they'll make one for the rsx or the civic type r, but don't hold your breath. Then you have to buy their guage cluster which reads about 240mph.
There was a Spooned up Civic Hatch in the SCC Magazine April issue. The Civic has a swap B18C5 engine, Spoon it up with JDM Civic Type R rods, pistons and cams and trany, Spoon intake, header, catback exhaust, and Comp Racing throttle. This guy able to access best Spoon products because he is fortune enough to work at Pit Crew Motorsports in Cali. In reality, to Spoon up our Civic, first you gotta have load of money$$$, second you gotta swap either a B or K series engine because (D series is a NO NO), third you need a mechanic or you be one.
