Piaa low beam keeps blowing

Has anyone else had any problems with the H4 Piaa Super Plasma bulbs? This is the second time that the low beam has blown. It's a pain in the *** to keep sending the bulb back up to CT every 6 months when it blows.

I also have the 24Hypers... like 2 months into the DRIVER'S side went a lil weak...passenger's is still nice but I can see a wear in that one too. I've had them on for about 6 months.

If any filament would blow it would be the low beam which is on 95% of the time in most situations. I had a PIAA Super White blow on the drivers side after 4 months. The shop said no problem we'll replace it but I got lucky. Asuming they'd replace both I returned with both in the original pack and the bill. They dithered for a second and then just gave me a new pack when I said I'd install them myself.

well my passenger side blew out too...and honda performance had the nerve to tell me that 90/100 watts was too much i was like wutever but i went autostore and they gave me grease (like KY jelly ) and said it prevents water or humid or fog moisture damge to prolong the life of the bulb

my passenger side high beam keeps on going out... i just replaced it last month, I dunno if it's manufacturer's fault because I once was hit by a BED FRAME in the freeway on my passenger side so maybe that's my fault. well.. yeah

My PIAA Super Plasma's blew in just 3 months. The passenger side was the first to blow out. PIAA's have a very short life. For their $70-90 price, it just ain't worth it. After buying a few of these you could've used that money to get HID.

same **** on my car

First i had Krypton Purple Showoff, they were awesome color and output but they blew after like 2 months. Then I got some Hiper Industries bulbs, and they blew after one month. They were installed properly, but the passengers side just keeps blowing. Anyone find a brand that works in the 2k2 civic coupes. I am starting to think that honda has some defects in these cars. I have never heard of any models having this many problems blowing.

Is there a harness we can buy to fix the problem? I have seen the H4 upgrade harnesses before, but do they actually work. I dont want to keep buying bulbs, but i want to have nice colored bulbs.

thanks for any input

i found a way to keep all the mositure out of the headlights, and i have had 90/100 watt cuzos for about a year now. 1st when you put the bulb in make sure you dont touch it. then the rubber boot thing that goes on at the end. Take a little bit of vasaline and put it on the edges of the rubber boot and this creates a waterproof/ moisture proof seal into the headlights. I cleared mine and always had a problem with mositure until i did this and it works fine now.... give it a try and report back...

i've gone through 2 sets of hyper whites in 6 months cause the PASSANGER side low beam keeps blowing out, this seems to be a problem that happens alot. When i went back to stock its been fine, been fine for a month. All the better reason to get HID's i guess.

The nokya is the best bulb I've ever had. I had the same pair for like a year and a half now. And still very bright.

Mine had the grease on the rubber boot and the plug from the factory too. Any time you change any bulbs you should use the dielectric grease.

I had one set of PIAA and they turned from blue to pink after a few hours and I couldn't see for ****. After trying Catz and SilverStars and Cool Blues, I finally decided to spring for real HID. None of the bulbs I've seen come even close to that.
