i used it a few weeks, i notice my engine is a little quieter, and just slightly bit more faster off the line, but it could just be a psychological effect

Yes. I don't know which STP that is there? I use STP fuel injector/carburator cleaner every other time I fill up. It helps to clean the fuel lines and fuel injectors from deposits that build up and hinder the flow of fuel. The NOS Octane Booster is just that, it increases the octane rating of your fuel. Only use it if you don't have high octane fuel available in your area. Our cars only need 86 octane (typically 87), so there is no need for this product. Even with a turbo, nitrous, or a supercharger you might only need to run as high an octane as is sold at the pump. Although if someone has seriously high compression, or seriously high boost pressure, then upping the octane level of your fuel to prevent detonation is a good thing. Only us as much as you need to to kill detonation though, too much is just a waste.

actually it hurts our cars, i forgot what it was but if you look in your manual it will tell you. one of the chemicals in the additives destroys a sensor or something. and what kind of build up do you have on a car with 20,000 miles on it, it is barly broken in.

I heard that they usually don't do anything good. If you get good brand name gas you should be fine.

Be careful with that stuff. My last car was an Altima. I bought Bosch +4 plugs for it and thought that I should clean the fuel injectors too so I bought a Pennzoil brand injector cleaner and poured it in. It destroyed the plugs totally, I got of the free way and the car started hesitating and making a NASTY noise like it was about to brake down. At one time I barely got up a hill. I thought the engine was garbage. I took it to the dealer and they ran a test and said that the plugs are crap. The truth is the cleaner destroyed them cuz i drove on them 2 weeks before and they were awesome gave me very clean starts.

Yeah it's not a good idea to use the fuel injector cleaner too often. I use it about once every 3 oil changes. The rest of the time, I just fill up at Chevron wich contains a small amount of techron to do the job.

Fuel Injectors cannot be cleaned by putting an additive in your fuel system. Fuel Injectors can only be cleaned by removing them from the engine, taken apart then placed in a ultrasonic cleaner. This should only be done by a profesional. The additives that you buy and pour in your gas tank will clean deposits off of your Intake valves and some of the carbon deposit on the top of the piston. It is OK to use cleaners that specify Fuel Injected Safe, these do not contane the chemical that will make your O2 sensor go bad. Hope this helps!

The best thing you can do and it will save you money in the long run is to run your car on 87 octane, which it is designed for, and the about once a month or so run the 92 octane. The 87 octane will leave some deposits but if you run the 92 (burns hotter) once a month that will burn up all the deposits that have developed. That's just my 2 cents though
