Need help deciding on Clutch
Well heres the story, I found a ACT HD street clutch online for sale. Its from a 2000 Civic Ex and has been used but not for very long. He sent me some pics showing wear and I want you guys to decide if it looks ok to you wear wise because I have no clue what to look for.
Also, I asked him to make it an ebay auction so I'm protected in some way from fraud and etc. Heres the link to the pics so please take the time to look at the pics.

Clutches are better to buy brand new.
What you have on the pic may go after few months after install, remember you already paid $200-300 to put it in.
Why not to buy new clutch kit?
I recommend Exeedy organic, about $260-300 from retailers.
Affordable and performance oriented.
Can handle way more power than stock.

Well, first off I wouldn't be paying anything for install because I would be doing it myself. Also, I am a poor college student and I refuse to pay $250 -$300 for a clutch on a car that will only run low 14's high 13's.

Exedy sucks. I used one of there clutch's in my Integra and in 5 months one of the springs came out of the clutch disc making it impossible for the pressure plate to do its job. I also am using a used ACT and love it. you can buy a ACT clutch disc on ebay for 60 bux. Id take the pressure plate off your friend and get a new disc if anything. an oh yeah new throw out bearing also cheap.
Buying a clutch used is not the best idea. Im a huge fan of Exedy and we have supplied many 7thgen guys with the exedy and they have been more than happy with them! Let me know, we carry exedy/act and I can help ya out if you wish.

I would say 70 shipped would be a better price. Look at the wear on the fingers and how dirty the clutch plate is. Used for two weeks my ***. Unless he drove 50 miles to work everyday in Stop and Go traffic

Well you should have said that in the first place! hahaha
I will talk to the guy tonight about it, I guess I just want a clutch but don't want to spend over $200 for one.
Not yet, but I'm thinking this season it might on the clutch. Stock clutch on a 75 shot means im right around that 200 ft/lbs torque are so I don't see it lasting too much longer.

Ehh Ebay might sell them without the bottle. Obiviously buying a whole kit with all the wiring and switches would be best.
Anyways, I talked the guy to $75 shipped Buy it now on ebay. What do you guys think.
Also, are the throwout bearings the same for all the SOHC civics?

You are going to need a new throwout bearing and a pilot tool. Figure about $60 for throwout bearing new from honda and $10 for a pilot tool.
We have the exedy stage I for map pricing up on our site, but PM us and I will show you that spending just a bit more will have you end up being a happy customer and not worried.
Eddie
Looks like he forgot to break in the clutch by the looks of the pressure plate heat warpage by the teeth - ouch

Alright, convince me why I should spend $250 for a 170 hp Civic.
BTW, I've talked to some people, the glazing is minimal and should come off with normal driving. Also, he is including a new throwout bearing and other honda OEM stuff.
