Air Box For Vtec
What it the first part of the air box unit for, the one that is to the left of the engine before the intake box. It seems to be a kind of a waste of restriction but i dunno what it is even for. If someone could explain its real purpose to me that would be great

well you have the piece that goes to the fender well which is to bring airflow in, then the middle piece is the resonator to reduce noise, then there is the intake cleaner. All 3 serve a purpose, but if you remove any of those, it really doesnt do any good performance wise.
