How much drop with Buddy Club Kit and 17's
Hey guys,
I think I am going with the Buddy Club kit and the Focal F5's in a 17",
since my 18's wouldn't work. First of all what do you think? It came down to the Buddy Club or Octane, and I picked BC. What I am wondering is how much should I drop the car. I don't want a camber kit or anything. I was thinking of Sprint Springs, with a 2" drop all around. Is this too low with a kit, or will I need a camber kit at all? Please let me know
Thanks Guys!!!!

well i just installed my progress springs on my ex coupe, 2 inch drop all the way looks PHAT but i have an eency weency amount of negative camber on my back wheels, i don't think im going to mess with it till i get my 18's in, I don't wanna mess those tires up. I could care less about the tires i have on there now, hell they only have 3000 miles on them anyway
i have the progress springs and 17" nippon racing Formula 1 wheels. tiny bit of neg camber, but been that way for 6 months now and no uneven wear, my buddy had 18's and got rubbing a few times
It dosent matter if you drop your car 1 inch or 3 inches you will need a camber kit to fix the negative camber. You wont be able to detect the negative camber just by looking at it, but it is there. If you dont get a camber kit the roads will eat your tires up. Trust me I have already gone through 2 sets of tires in less than 25,000 miles.
According to the Civic manual from Honda, the amount of Camber for the front is supposed to be 0.00 degree plus or minus .50 degrees. The rear is -.50 degrees plus or minus .50 degrees. Any amount of lowering is going to change this adjustment.
The factory manual suggests using the front kits (that you can get from Eibach or Ingalls). And really for the minimal price, they are well worth it. The rear kit cost a bit more. At $150.00 they are not cheap, but how much does a pair of low profile tires cost? Plus you have to realize that after adding these kits to your car, they never have to be replaced, simply adjusted.

Forgive my ignorance, but can someone explain the whole "camber" concept, cuz I have no idea what you're talking about, and I want all the information before I order these 18's.
