Resignator Help
I'm getting a custom 2 1/4 exhaust made in a few week's, I'm gonna go with kamikaze header 304 stainless pipe random technology cat converter and apexi ns1 muffler. I aslo would like to get a resignator bult but i donn know what dimentions i should get it made to, I want to be able to remove the resignator and run with out it just local driving but when the resignator is on i want a good sound and tone, i'm not sure if the dimention's will have any thing to do with the sound and tone, If any one has any sugestions or idea's let me know.

Ok well I suggest getting a resonator put in but why do you want it to be removable?
Buy a magnaflow resonator and just get it welded on...

when i drive long distances i want it to sound good but not be ear piercing. When i'm driving locally i want it to be lous as possable. I'm getting a custom made exhaust system, i'll get a resignator custom made with flanges so i can remove it if i want to. I just need a generial idea of the dimention's.
i dont think their is a such part as a resonator that can be removeable and portable for those kind of needs. a resonator is welded onto the piping UNLESS it has its own piping on each side with flanges/bolts/etc that can connect to the muffler pipe and the b-pipe as well.
would you consider an silencer for your muffler?

I'm getting the exhaust in a few weeks i donn exactally what i'm gonna do ab a resignator, but if i do decide to get one custom made it will be removiable with flanges ect.

You could get cutouts, lol. My friend has them on his Trans AM, just remove the caps of the cut out part and let the loudness begin. Not sure about on civic though, just a thought.

its easy enough, just have a straight pipe you can replace, and have 6 flanges welded on. one for each end of the 2 pipes, and youll also need 2 more on the exhaust that doesnt get removed. Just have somebody weld them on. Its not too hard. I could get that done for about 20 bucks from my friend at midas. So you can just unbolt the resonator, and bolt on the straight pipe. and visa versa of course.
Im going to be doing this with my hi flow cat. but for track purposes, not noise, hehe.
