Newbie With Question
I have an 05 Civic VP and I have the crappy little guage cluster with no tach or nothing....
I found an 03 EX cluster at the local junk yard and bought it for $50.....
the plugs looked the same and I plugged in the new cluster and nothing worked.
I thought I could just plug and play but I guess not.....
Anyone know why they didn't work???

you have to rewire all the plugs. if you do a search, you'll find a DIY for it. fairly easy DIY, but it just takes time taking out the wires from the plug, and rewiring them.
Hmmm.....I don't think I wanna start pulling wired and rewiring stuff around in my brand new car.....is there any other cluster that will just plug right into the 05 model without having to do anything??
come on buddy. reach down lift up ur skirt and grap your *****. Take a chance and learn something. Why spend another $50 or more to get a new gague cluster when all you need to do is change a few wires on this one?

Actually, an 01 - 02 cluster will drop right in. EX coupe, if you want orange illumination.
03 and up won't work without re-wiring the plugs.

with that kind of attitude, you won't get far in this forum.
with that said, you should be able to use this thread:
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...ter+conversion
or to the actual DIY:
http://temp.dirtysamurai.com/gauge/convert.html
hope this helps.

with all the time that you have waited and talked about not re-wireing your cluster, you could have already followed the easy *** DIY and have some awesome *** guages in your car.
Vic's almost done... thats sorta depressing...
