I want to get the konig tantrums (or maybe a look alike)

what all do i need to worry about when purchaseing rims? I realize you get what you pay for in most cases but it's gonna be about 1200 for the rims and tires but I found a similer one at rim1.com for much less.

I guess i am wondering has anyone gotten cheaper rims before and had probs. so i steer clear of that and go w/ Konig.

If you go with "no namers" It's allright.. as long as you don't race with them or drve too aggresively.. no nomer cheapo rims have a tendancy to bend easier..

I could have gone for a look a like but I decided to go with the name. I bought 17" Tantrums from Discount with Yokohama Paradas for a little over $1100 I think. When I went to the store and looked the wheels and tires were more expensive than they were on the internet. I had to guy look at his company's website and adjust my prices.

I realizer that. That's what the question was. whether to spend the extra money for the name konig or would those (or another lookalike) do?

why dont you get the tenzo av-7 for rims and tires $899.00 17"

you have to worry about the weight of the rims, if you get cheap heavy rims, you will lose performance and gas mileage will go down

ok i see these av-7s and they look jsut fine. i found them on cbwheels.com for 899 and they come w/ Federal ZR rated tires... personally i haven't heard of Federal and it doesn't sound like a good tire.

Am i right or wrong?
I don't have to have great tires... i'm not a racer jsut hookin up my car. But i don't want **** tires either by any means. I'm willing to pay up to about 350 for the tires (a little more if y'all say a certain kind are badass and i shouldn't live w/o them.)

Go with a rim you want. If you want Konig get them. Knock-offs may satisfy you for a little while, but not in the long term. When you are cruising at 75, you want to feel secure with your wheels.
