hp racing header question....

I have a quick question that I can't seem to get a strait answer on. I have a 2003 Civic ex coupe automatic. I want to install these headers but before I do I want to know if I need to shave one of the motor mounts. I really don't want to since it will probably void my warranty. Please let me know if I need to cut those motor mounts on my car. Thanks for all your help.

If it's the full race header then yes you may have to shave something (i don't remember what it is).

Are you 100% sure you don't have to. The guy selling it to me says you have to shave the motor mounts on the automatic but not on the 5-speed. Do you have one and do you like it?

What exaxtly am I looking at? Is there a good header out there that needs no mods done to the car and shown performance improvment. I don't want a DC so thats out of the question. How about Kamikaze. Does that come as a racing header like the HP.

i thought it was the automatics that didnt need to shave the motor mounts for the hp header? there was even a DIY for it on a manual sedan?? =|

scizod, dont get too hype off a header and expect great gains, header for our cars (assuming you have a 01+ vic) doesnt do much IMO. its been proven by real people and no bogus company charts. unless you think a realistic 1-2hp gain is alot? if your trying to squeeze as much as possible, i guess it could be worth it depending how you see it.

but good brands of header are:
-hp (recommend the full race header if your not worried about emissions)
-kamakazie* www.bigjoshracing.com
-topspeed (rumors has it that its basically HP with their tag on it)
-dc full race? (recently came out)
-megan racing? i would go this route instead of no name header on eBay
-then the cheapo eBay ones

well that is a hp racing header i got on my car!
1 pic : 2 place where i needed to cut out some metal because else you wil find out!
2 pic : removed the front motor mount so you can get the header trough the little space you got!
3 pic : explains enough though
4 pic : motor mount back on!!

Well the DIY said you need to shave of some of the motor mount but that
was because he kept the motor mount on and i just simpel removed it!
