Rep Power: 395 But when you turn what on, what got a thind line? What is thind. English please!
Projectors suck, they don't have enough reflective area to produce enough light and they tend to focus it more and not spead it out like the stock headlights. They also tend to melt if you have high powered bulbs. That's because they're plastic. The stock headlights are ceramic. Ceramic is able to withstand much higher temperatures. If you're not satisfied, then return them.

Rep Power: 278 I took my projectors apart and removed the deflector in the low beam. They are much brighter now. Used a hair dryer to heat up the seam to get them apart. The low beams are H3 bulbs and the high beams are H1 bulbs. Cant find anything brighter, but you can get the HID knockoffs.

Rep Power: 0 1.... if projector headlights suck then how come every single high end automobile has them from the factory (bmw lexus etc?)
2..... i recently installed a set of DOT certificed TYC projector headlights and i am ABSOLUTLY in love with them....the low beams are extremly wide and extremly concentrated where they should be (on the road) and the high beams work excelent as well
3.... our stock headlight assemblies are not made out of cermic, they are plastic as well
peace, mark

Rep Power: 0 Different headlight designs
Projectors direct the light downwards and that prevents rain drop from reflecting back into your eyes causing glare. The drawback is that the lens mechanism reduce light output somewhat.
That's also why high beam projectors are not common.

Rep Power: 0 You mean these?
Real Xenon gas discharge bulb do not have filament but electrode and noble gases.
Is there a housing that also accomodate the high beam? ... all the ones I've heard are low beam only.

Rep Power: 395 mwwhonda: Um... I think not.
1. I wasn't talking about projectors in general. I was talking about the projectors that people have right now. Not the TYC either. Need more input from people on those.
2. Again, I wasn't referring to the TYC's. I like that style. I haven't heard anything bad about them yet. Yet!
3. They are too plastic. Have you broken a headlight to find out? If you have and you have determined that they're plastic then more power to you. Mine got broken when I was in my accident and the chrome part near the bulb is ceramic! Hence the higher resistence to temperatures than those cheapie plastic projectors. That's mainly why I think they suck!
