Question on Pipping for carbacks

I heard that 2.5 takes away HP and adds sound compared to the 2.25 which adds more HP but sound is less and that it doesnt matter. can anyone give me the right answer?

Why do you want sound? I suggest staying with 2.25. 2.5 won't hurt much but nothing more than that.

im not at all sure about this, dont take my word for it, but i think 2.5" will give you more sound.... at the cost of low end power... 2.25" is optimal for a civic, and it should be plenty loud with a loud muffler if loud is what you want, except that the louder it gets, you lose tone quality...

again, not sure... but thats the impression i'm under... someone who knows for sure... if im wrong, please correct me... id hate to tell him wrong lol

Both will work but you will loose more low end torque with 2.5 even though civics don't really have any to begin with. If you race like me, I got the 2.5" piping just cuz when you race you shouldn't be in the low rpms anyways.
