automatic transmission rebuild kit

ok well i want to turbo my 01 LX auto in the future, thing is ive heard different things about the transmission from different ppl, but the bottom line is itll break eventually lol. well i was given some advice to check out a transmission rebuild kit that will "bullet proof" the auto tranny so i can run however much boost the engine itself could take. and well, its not too expensive so im thinking about getting it. question is, could i do the rebuild myself? i know a good deal about cars, engines, etc, but i dont know jack about transmissions lol. well i do have two friends who are studying automotive engineering so they could help me out, but im still not sure if wed be in over our heads. well heres a link, lemme know what u think.

you would need alot of micrometers and fine measuring tools because EVERYTHING has to be perfect. I know that the trannys are not to bad to drop it just takes time, but I have never really tore into one. It has to take alot of patience
