hmm... I just noticed it says
-Hood pins are required.
Anyway around this? I would rather people not have easy access to my engine.

VIS still has a latch. The hood pins are for added security. I would highly recommend getting those. Think about it part of what helps keep your hood down is the sheer weight of it. The carbon fiber hood weighs less and wind is going to start to pull at it. The last thing you want is your hood flying up, but dont be under the impression that just because you need hood pins that if somone un-does them that people can access your engine. The latch is still there, and if your really that concerned get locking hood pins.

i was in a 95 eclipse GSX w/o hoodpins and the hood lifted up and tore off. he had to fill in the holes and re thread them but all the scratches on the bump in the hood are never coming out.

I got mine for like $450. It took forever getting the damn hood. I live nearby VIS and I went to pick it up. Everytime they told me it will be there it wasn't there or some other sales guy sold my hood. Finally the homeboys hide my hood until I came by to pick it up. I love my CF Hood. I had to mod the latch to get it to lock and yes I have hood pins. Use the DIY when you install the hood pins. Peace.
