header & primary o2 sensor question

simple question:
will i encounter any o2 sensor problems (or any problems matter of fact) if i were to replace my header with aftermarket? i have an ex and the primary o2 sensor is located where the 4 pipes meet on the bottom of the header. i plan to bolt on an hp top portion header and wanted to know by doing so, will i encounter any problems? i already have an megan hi flow cat which is throwing a cel light but thats no biggie. i know the 2nd o2 sensor isnt as important as the first, so i want to verify about the first o2 sensor piece..

thanks in advance

oh yeah, which header would you recommend and why?
-dc 4-1 ceramic
-hp shorty 4-1 ceramic
-kamakzie hi-temp black coating

im trying to improve better torque than horsepower without the swap/FI route.

with the ex both of ur sensors should be located on downpipe/cat converter shouldnt they? I swapped over my full exhuast from dx style to ex, and it seems too me that both o2 sensors are after the headers, so changing the headers wont affect them. If you already have the megan "resonator" then adding a header wont do anymore damage than the megan. IS say go for either hp or kamikaze....dc isnt worth it imo for an ex...its alomost the same size as stock. I have dc on my dx, but if u saw what the stock headers look like on a dx ud understand! haha
hope this helped!

oh snap, your right. the primary o2 sensor is on the downpipe on ex' models
what kind of changes did you notice with dc header?

^well i have a dx and the stock headers are rediculously small and ugly. I noticed a pretty significant increase when i did the headers, highflow cat, and catback, so u will see some improvements. Its worth it imo, since u already have the megan downpipe, but dont expect to gain 10 hp or anything.

im worrying more about torque over hp.
but since the dc header pipes have a smaller diamter than hp/kamakazie but larger than OEM. wouldnt that help increase pressure all the way down to the exhaust? i know having the largest pipes wont do much, but lets compare the dc header to hp. i would say hp would gain you high-end power while dc will gain the mid-high end because of its piping diameter and the role of "pressure"

^yah forshure....but in that case u might as well keep ur stock headers, cuz with the dc ur gonna loose backpressure and low end power, not very much but enough. Hp will gain more high end as you said, but if you're looking for better low end then keep the stockers on there! Honestly i dont know too much about backpressure and all that good stuff, so maybe someone else can help yah out!

jdm_bb is an unknown quantity at this point
get the kamikaze I think out of the three it's the best. My frd has a dx and he put the dc header, he did feel some gain, but not that much. IMO I don't think it's worth getting the dc because the dc header is about the same size maybe a little bigger than the ex one and in canadian the si . but it's ur call...
