XM Radio Technology...

Hey guys, I did a search but only a few threads for XM radio. I have a question for you tech gurus out there. What kind of technology do XM radio receivers use? I mean, is it like DSS or Dishnetwork TV where you have a SmartCard that is programmed according to your subscription, or is it embedded hardware/software? I just wanted to know because if it is using SmartCard technology (ie, Voicestream, Cingular, DirectTV, DishNetwork) then I think I have some ideas for it. Let me know...

This should answer most of your questions. If it doesn't, then you can call these people and talk to an audio guy because they sell the car components.
