My V2
well even though everyone said dont do it, or whatever, I had the part and i did it anyway, so what do you think, did i do a good job, just followed the instructions, only took a lil under 2 hours......
BTW: That shot to the left of the filter is of the place that held the bracket for the old intake system, as you can see the screw just snapped off when i removed it, does anyone know of an easy way to drill that so i can replace the screw? Also does anyone know what wire the AEM instructions were talking about to tie do with the zip-tie?

You can get special bits that grab hold of the remaining threads and backs it out. Sears or large home improvement stores has them. I have this intake too.
hey man ive got the same intake and installed it myself as well. I had the zip tye strapped on to the jointed covered battery cables but just took it off eventually cuz it wasnt really doint any good. The V2 is a nice modification to have, fits well and i also feel a definite increase in 3rd. The sound is throaty and loud. Im not sure of how it sounds in comparison to the AEM sri however, but from what i hear its worth spendin the extra bucks to get the V2.

congrats on the install. For 5 speed users, beware, my filter sits on the clutch line and the vibration will eat away at it. My brother bought my this tough plastic wrap to cover it up, so now the filter is a bit warped but it's better than eating away at the clutch line.
