My V2

well even though everyone said dont do it, or whatever, I had the part and i did it anyway, so what do you think, did i do a good job, just followed the instructions, only took a lil under 2 hours......
BTW: That shot to the left of the filter is of the place that held the bracket for the old intake system, as you can see the screw just snapped off when i removed it, does anyone know of an easy way to drill that so i can replace the screw? Also does anyone know what wire the AEM instructions were talking about to tie do with the zip-tie?

Any difference????, i dont know, how do you feel 5 hp......, all i know is that its louder, but like around 80mph it does pull a little bit more and its smother up through 100....; But i havent felt any significant change in the lower gears except for it being louder ..... but this doesnt bother me, the car was never good at high acceleration, it was only when you got to about 3rd or so did you see it start to smooth out ????? But what do i know im a newb when it comes to cars, this is the first thing I've done, i just had fun doing it

You can get special bits that grab hold of the remaining threads and backs it out. Sears or large home improvement stores has them. I have this intake too.

dont be ashamed cause your proud of installing an intake, its a great start. eventually, you'll be able to handle with bolts, nuts, and other hardware of the car.

hey man ive got the same intake and installed it myself as well. I had the zip tye strapped on to the jointed covered battery cables but just took it off eventually cuz it wasnt really doint any good. The V2 is a nice modification to have, fits well and i also feel a definite increase in 3rd. The sound is throaty and loud. Im not sure of how it sounds in comparison to the AEM sri however, but from what i hear its worth spendin the extra bucks to get the V2.

congrats on the install. For 5 speed users, beware, my filter sits on the clutch line and the vibration will eat away at it. My brother bought my this tough plastic wrap to cover it up, so now the filter is a bit warped but it's better than eating away at the clutch line.
