Rep Power: 309 headers do SOMETHING but not much. IMO, its not worth spending the money on unless you can get a good deal for a piece. hp and kamakazie are good header but not worth paying for since it rarely does much.
im thinking about cleaning out the tubes inside my stock header... anyone know if thats a good idea?

Rep Power: 309 im gonna assume 1-2hp if your lucky, i never expierenced a header so i really dont know. im just going along with members who've expierenced them. you should consider keeping the OEM header... you'll regret buying a header in the future.
btw, are you trying to gain performance or something?

Rep Power: 788 Well the stock header has tiny pipes. This is good when driving in the lower rpms, because it keeps exhaust gases flowing fast. With a larger header, the air won't be able to move as fast at lower rpms. A larger header is good for high end power when alot of air is flowing. You will always have tradeoffs when swapping out parts. New header will also make the exhaust louder if you have an aftermarket version. The difference is small, but a larger diameter header will reduce backpressure, which allows the engine to make more power. Low end will still bog down a bit. You might not even notice a difference really.

Rep Power: 788 by low end loss I mean power from 1-3k rpms when you're not really pressing the gas down alot. The more you press the gas, the more air that flows through the header, and the better the gain will be.

if you have a "show car" then get the chrome ones...DC...they suk for performance
if you want some performance, you will not need them unless you're boosted. period.
