PIAA SILICONE WIPERS... Any good?

I see ads for PIAA silicone winshield wipers. Lots of claims there. Has anyone used them? Are they good? Worth the approximately $50 per pair? I need all the visibility help I can get in bad weather.

The stock ones are okay IMO. If you guys say that they're extra good, then I might buy some. Post a review in the review section when you get them and use them for a while...

I just apply Rain-X often. Works great and costs a lot less. I am curious to see how the new wipers work.

I put RainX on my Firebird once. When I did turn on the wipers, it smeared really bad, worse than hot wax. Maybe I didn't do it right.

That's odd. I've been using it for about 7-8 years and hadn't had that problem. I let it haze on real good (about 5-8 minutes) then buff the crap out of it to get a good shine. I can drive down the road in a pretty good rain without ever needing to use the wipers. It's what they use on airplanes since they don't have wipers.

I've still got it. Maybe I'll try it again. May need to let dry better before buffing.

I have Carbon Fiber Altezzas and the PIAA carbons aren't that much more than the regular black ones.
