a heads up,
i ordered my Megan Racing Hi-Flow Cat off eBay from an authorized dealer of megan racing. so i get the package nicely shipped and at my door. today morning, installed it with couple problems.
1) the "direct bolt-on" design is NOT really direct bolt-on. my headers/exhaust is completey stock. only performance mod is an AEM SRI. but maybe with aftermarket headers, the fit "MAY" be direct BUT i did email the authorized megan racing seller AND the megan racing company itself and both said "yes, it will bolt right on to your civic ex"
i have emails to prove it
2) the design is not good, the o2 sensor where the cat is located snapped during the installation
. i emailed megan racing about it and waiting for their reply. i truthfully deserve an o2 sensor due to poor design and product quality.
3) beneath the OEM header of my 03 ex, their are 2 bolts holding the header piece and downpipe together. now their are 2 coil springs in between the bolts of these 2. i had to chop off "2" (two) threads of coil spring in order to bolt on the megan hi flow cat (ex) onto my OEM header. (and this was AFTER taking out the heat shield).

Thakns
so what do you guys suggest i do? im currently running my 03 civic ex with only ONE (1) o2 sensor when its suppose to have 2! i really want to get this solve because im afraid something will eventually happen to my car. i seriously beleive that im not at fault for this because of the fitment quality. me and my friend know what we were doing and we both worked on exhaust of cars before. please, any opinions/help/questions/comments/suggestions are welcome.
thanks,
Tommy
(ps, i will post pics of the damaged o2 sensor as soon i get my camera back)

keep in mind, im probably the only one or couple who had this problem. my car is an 2003 ex and some models vary. so my car required "2" (two) o2 sensors on the pipes. if your an different model, i think it requires just one?
but dont get ur hopes down, megan racing are good products but its just the fitment quality design they lack of.
here is the responded email i received today (very fast reply too
..)
Hi Tommy,
First of all, we sold over thousands of this cat since 2 years ago, so far
no problem, but let me know where did you buy it and how do you want us to
fix it for you? If you ordered it from our dealers or from us directly?
Thanks
you can see that they are willing to "fix" this problem for me and i hope it comes thru too

dude...i was thinkin of putting up a warning on here for built4race....on ebay....you don't want to buy from them...it takes so long to get things straightened out...i ordered the short shift adapter from them....and it didn't fit at all...there was no way that it was or would have worked for the car...i now wish that i would have put up that warning...sorry to hear about that though...
