2004 bumper on my 2001?

2004 bumper on my 2001?
Searched and saw that some people mentioned putting the new style rear bumper on an 2001-2003 but did anyone actually ending up DOING it? Will it fit OK b/c I cannot tell by just looking at the two car's rear bumpers if the tails are the same size....
And an opinion, would the rear bumper of the new style look dorky on my 01? I do not have a lip kit or anything, staying stock-look, and it will be on my 2001 Inca Pearl coupe.
Any opinions ASAP would be good b/c I ordered the old style bumper yesterday (suffered a few dings while putting my head on) and could probably cancel if I do it soon....

the tails are exactly the same size on the coupes. i wouldnt see why the 04 bumper wouldnt fit on ur car.
I think a lip kit might be in need if u get the 04 bumper. the 2004 looks a lil fatter on the bumpers(front and rear), if u have the stock 01-03 bumper, ur car might just look bigger in the back unproportionately.

Rep Power: 0 Good point, there are those little things that stick out at the bottom, I spent about 10 minutes yesterday staring at the two cars rears and think it would be cool to do something different.

Rep Power: 0 I just picked up the reg 01 bumper, chickened out I guess b/c I thought those little pcs that hang down would look a little strange since they are only in the back and on the new ones are on the front bumper too.....

Bad move, rscivic. I have an 02 Civic EX and replaced my rear bumper with an 04, two weeks ago (when I got rear ended by a 300ZX).
Looks great IMO! I also have a Tsunami Front End, so the little flares on the bottom of the bumper compliment the front design. It sets me a little further apart from the million of other civics on the road. I like it.
Everything bolts up perfectly. Like stock. Cost is exactly the same as well. I say go for it (even though I like being the only one so far).

Yes, Tsunami Sides will come later. Suspension and Tires are my main priority. I just got the very first set of Gunmetal 19" Trak Lites in California (Straight from the horse's mouth at Motegi Racing). 18lbs and Forged! Just saving for the Paradas or P-Zero Neros, Still deciding.
Gotta install my Neuspeed Sports and Hotchkis Camber Kit, as well, after I buy a set of shocks (patiently waiting for the Tokicos).
