anyone have OBX header
anyone have OBX header
i want to know if anyone has an obx header on their car. i want to know if they fit well and all that kind of stuff. also i would like to know what kind of header fits my car well that isn't expensive
thanks
thanks
iuno about the obx header but heres a list of headers that i kno of that have applications for our cars:
dc sports 4-1
kamakazie (supposely better then dc's)
hp racing headers
from what i heard, ppl have told me dc-sports headers 4-1 sucks becuz its just the OEM header but minor difference. dizwickedcivic (andrew), told me kamakazie headers are better off with. but thats just an opinion. if u alrdy bought the obx header, just stick with it n let me kno how it goes.

No, the DC Sports header does not suck. You should consider it as well as the others. I've had the HP shorty, Kamikaze, and DC Sports stainless. I lost my bottom end with the first two and ended up going back to the DC.
DO NOT BUY OBX TURBO MANIFOLD GO HERE FOR DETAILS!!

That's my point....I don't want to "loss" low end power, especially on our small engines. It's a little ignorant to say DC Sports blow after all the R&D they put into the thing. It's not DC's fault our engine is designed the way it is and not very responsive to bolt-on mods. Take it for what it is. You may not like it which is cool....I don't like the HP or the Kamikaze. To each his own.

I appologize. After researching on this header more and actually looking at one I decided to actually get one. Just threw it on the car last night. The car is sitting on flat storage tires and no tail lights but from reving on it a little I could tell my throttle response was better.
dont know if it still matters but OBX is full of crap i bought their turbo header and it didnt even fit plus it looks like you have to remove the PS and AC Do not Buy They (ziggy) refused to give me a refund
I have an OBX header for my lx. Fits good just I have to run without a cat till I get a full catback exhaust cuz it won't bolt to the stock piping. Another thing is the Check Engine Light stays on because there is no cat. Once I get the catback I should be able to get rid of the CEL without it coming on again.

other products and parts..
which means he probably moved this thread over here.
the obx header i got is a DC replica. fit and finish was decent for price, and doesn't seem to rob low end too. does it give the high end? beats me. nothing i can feel. but at least i didn't feel any lost power.
imo i prefer dc design, in this case, over other shorty header.. for mildly tuned cars anyway. or rather, stick with stock...

oh yeah obx has a few diff. ones running around.. or rather, sometimes retailers/sellers claim its OBX while its just another generic one.. although OBX in itself is generic..
OBX products generally duplicate another brand's design.
the one above there looks like generic style header.
