my pager cracked a few months ago and i took it to the car toy store in medina ohio where i got the alarm installed and they said they would get me a new one for 40$. it took about 2 hours for them to figure out that it was the wrong type or whatever and that they would order it and call me when it came in. well, it recently stopped working entirely, and i need to replace the pager. i called them today (months later, mind you) and now they quoted me 100$ for a new pager. am i stuck with this nonsense or do i have other options?? compustar told me to just deal with them when i had issues initially, so i assume that they will give me the same advice. any help would be appreciated.

i have a compustar as well and i haven't had to replace my pager.... but i remember reading somewhere that they do go for that amount of money... they are pretty expensive. I wouldnt doubt the quote of $100

My 2WFM came with one pager and an extra pager, except its only 1WFM... The dealer where I got mines installed is charging $35 for an extra pager which I will eventually get sooner or later...

I am looking at the CompuStar two way and the price for an additional LCD screen remote was quoted to me at $80. $35-40 for the one way remote.

Yeah that price sounds about right. Those things are pricey to replace, your best option is to shop around in your city for the best price.
