Altezza Grille, RS come off? ASAP
Hey guys,
I am about to order an Altezza Grille from Dezod. HE said it has the RS symbol on it which I do not want, but he said it is removeable and is optional he believes. I just want a plain altezza grill though and Rob at Robear Racing said he cant seem to locate any.
So does the RS just come off and make it look like a normal altezza grille?
Thanks

yah the altezza grill and rs grill are different. if its the altezza grill with the rs emblem then it should come off easily with no outline behind t, but if its the rs grill with the emblem then it will have the outline.
Yup, like everyone else said, the RS and Altezza grills are different. So Rob doesn't have anymore Altezza grills in stock? Try ebay. Here you go: http://search.ebaymotors.com/search/...ch=&category0=
Whoa. I just noticed Rob used my Civic as an example for the Altezza grill.

The RS grill doesn't come with the RS already stuck on, it's a flimsy red vinyl sticker that they leave to you to put on yourself. So if you don't want it, you don't have to put it on. But as has already been said, the bare spot for the sticker, the 'foundation' if you will, will still be there.
Incidentally, if you decide later on that you do want the RS badge on there, DON'T use the stickers that come with it. They suck *** & fade after a few weeks so all you're left with is some faggy looking pink letters. Instead, drop a few bucks and get the plastic badge from Tornactive. It's a much nicer solid plastic piece that I've had on my grill for a year, and so far it has little more than a few small scratches on it.
'Course, if you find an altezza grill and go with that instead, then everything I just said will be completely useless to you ...
*sigh*
Edit: For clarification purposes

Haha. Well I bought it BUT I was told by Dezod (who spoke directly from the manufcaturer) that the RS is optional and i had the impression if you dont put it on then its just an altezza grille.
well it looks like i have an altezza grille. oh well.

rs grill has honeycomb mesh
Altezza grill has large diamond mesh
(too bad the mesh wasn't thinner and the diamonds were smaller)
here's my altezza grill with painted lip:

don't forget to order a sedan radiator cover to replace the coupe radiator cover (see above pic). Unless you don't mind leaves and other **** getting through the gap and building up inside the bumper
Order it at www.hondaautomotiveparts.com (http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...5=FRONT+GRILLE)
Part #2. You all the other screws you will already have.

yes yes all altezza and rs grills will fit both coupes and sedans. But check out the difference in radiator covers:
radiator cover comes with sedan:

radiator cover comes with coupe:

That H emblem imprint is still there on the coupe covers. Similarly, on the rs grill, the RS emblem imprint will still be on the grill even after you remove the RS sticker
