flamerthrower exaust kit ?'s
i was looking this website: www.autoloc.com/products/flame.lasso and they have this kit called a flamethrower kit and i know that most of y'all have heard of it but what i am wondering is how does it work and how do you install it and also what is the legal aspect on it please help cause not that i want to be a ricer like t.f.a.t.f. but i just think it looks cool........

I think it would be illegal to use on the streets, but then again alot of things are but are still sold to the public and people use on the street. I think it would look kinda gay in my opinion

Jesus they either think your car is gonna blow (most popos are stupid in the south) or the cali cops would be like , yup another boy ricer with an ilegal engine and boy I cant wait to fill out a page of tickets on this one...... You would be supplying uncle sam with lots of money!

ummm... first off... i don't think it is constantly flaming... it's only when u rev to a certain high a$$ point... but i guess there might be a button too... i dunno i'm too lazy to look... but the point is let him do what he wants... as long as he doesn't rev up with people behind him burning them all to death then let him do what he wants and possibly get tickets if a cop see's him revving and shooting flames... but cops are gonna ticket him for revving up anywayz... regardless of flames or not... that's my .02

Rep Power: 298 yeah you cant have a cat to use those kits. you rev your car up and hold in a button with ur foot to the floor, it kills the coil packs and eccess fuel is blown out of the exhaust and lit. If you mix your a/f ratio really rich and use an rpm switch you can do it while its runnin but its really dangerous. There is also a way to use a propane injection system but i have not messed with that. Flames are cool but they can be dangerous and they will probably melt ur back bumper with continuous use at slow speeds. It kills the life of your oil and makes the back of ur car black like the inside of ur exhaust. theres some info for ya from someone who has been there lata

Rep Power: 298 Yeah I put a few on 50's rods they were only primered so there was no paint to ruin and the bumpers were metal. I think u would be asking for trouble to put that on a late model daily driver. P.S. it prolly sounds like a gay idea to some of you guys but if you saw a 10 foot flaming dual exhaust comin out a 55 olds chopped and lowered u would have a change of heart hehe. At night flames do look cool on any modded car IMO. The F&F movies kinda went overboard and killed the idea though.

Rep Power: 323 well the kit they sell on autoloc is for hot roders mostly, I know what your trying to achve here...2 fast 2 furious...well this kit will not get you that type of flame..it is what you need but you cant run it the way that they specify...we r not carberated vehicals so we cant mess with the air/gas mix...what happens is the kit sends a spark at the end of your tail pipe or begining of your muffler from cat side and light the extra gas....well like i said this can only be done on carbed cars...they sell an extra unit you have to buy to feed the need air/fuel mixture...
plus this will give you a flame....like that of a lighter or match........and long to...
what you want is to use propain to give off a cool blue effect...the kit comes with a controller that allows you to control the size of the flame
and it all wrks off a push buttn you have in the car...when you rev, it pushes air out the exhaust, pushing the fumes and flame outwrd
..you push the btn and send pwer to a sprk plug causing a spark from a coil under the car also relesing the propain through a hole at the end of the exhaust..and whamo..instant flamage...

Rep Power: 298 You can most definetly do it on a modded f/i car as long as you have no catalytic converter and the injectors are still firing when you kill the coils, I've seen it done personally. The propane sounds way better though cause you can still accelerate when ur doing it. just remember if u got propane under your car or in the trunk its basically a bomb if it gets hot.
my local race shop has some flame kits. i havent seen them in action though. i told them i might buy one when my car was actually fast, but if i bought it at the time i would just look like an *** that just blew $100 on a flame kit...oh well.

Rep Power: 0 ok how do i start this... first of all i am glad to see that the members on this webite are supportive of somebody's attempt to work on his car,no matter what he/she is trying to do. second, i know that a flamer kit is stupid and highly illegal but i was just wondering what all y'all knew about it. third: i am in no way trying to be anything like the movie T. F. A. T. F. because even though it is a really cool movie, its all too fakey fakey for me so i would never try to be like any of the cars int he movies because htey are too showy for my tastes and last but not least even though i have just started working on my car and i may only have an estimated 125 hp at the wheels, just because i wanted to know about a flamer kit does not make me a ricer so in short thanks for the info no matter how rude or useless it is.

Rep Power: 0 My friends turbo vic has little fireballs when he downshifts since he has no cat . no flame kit or anything just no cat so there nothing to burn up the extra fuel
