Hey guys,
I just gotta say that I've been doing some research on finding a decent price for the Kaminari KTR II wing w/ cf inserts. The best price I've found is $450 shipped. But even then, is it worth the money for a fiber glass wing? Someone please answer me why people charge this high for this wing.....and yes I know Kaminari is one of the better brands that charge high on their products but the wing costs as much as a carbon fiber hood.
To me, the wing looks amazing on our cars. I liked the look of it with carbon fiber, but its unreal how much you have to spend for it. Well thats my two cents. And even though it's a high dollar wing, I'm still going to buy it. My car deserves it, but sometimes I feel I'm getting jipped for spending so much.

Rep Power: 0 If you lived in Philly and went to your local car accesories place that wing would retail for about $900 so 450 isnt bad. Philly is the worst place for car modification cuz the prices are rediculous

Rep Power: 0 Oh man your killing me. $900 for a wing? Are they on drugs? Good grief! I can see the wing being at a somewhat moderate demand as it gives the car a aggressive look without over-doing the size like a Terminator 2 wing.

Rep Power: 291 if u buy one around here, u can i guess get it for 550, plus it will cost u another 200 to install, plus another 200 to paint, so ur talking 950 for a damn wing, what a rip that is. it doesn't even pay.

Rep Power: 0 The install is easy to do yourself. If you buy the wing with the CF insert then you are getting scamed by paying $200 to get the thing painted. Think about it, you only have to paint the vertical pieces that are to be bolted to the trunk and that shouldn't cost more than $100. That right there is a big money saver.

Rep Power: 342 It's a lot of money for a spoiler, but modding cars isn't a cheap hobby by any means. If you want a cheap hobby, start carving wood. If that's too much to pay for a wing, just get a different one, or don't get one at all. There isn't a whole lot you can do about the price.
As for installation, you should be able to do it on your own. I'm taking a guess here, but I'm willing to bet my spoiler is the most complicated to install out of all of them because it has three separate pieces. My dad and I did it in a couple hours on a saturday.

Rep Power: 0 Like I said, install it yourself. And ofcourse you have to be retarded to paint a carbon fiber piece which is pretty much what I said before also. white2K2EX had it right when modding a car is an expensive hobby so if you want something nice, be ready to fork it over.
My father, brother and I installed a wing on a 6th gen in under an hour so get a friend or two.
As for your sig ImportRacer2123, there are sooo many things I liked about it.....then I saw the car so it took me awhile

Rep Power: 0 If you live in Philly then do NOT by any means go to Street Road Accessories........ not only are the employees there giant a$$holes their prices are funny. They are the same d0uchebags who quotes me 1300 for a 1.3 inch Eibach spring and KYB shock drop........
^^^ That store is the worst in philly, but other are almost as bad.

Rep Power: 312 Since you think it's such a sweet wing, they know they can charge an arm and a leg for it.
Obviously... Lol
That is how business works.. when something is sweet, it costs more.

Correct. Now why the fvck would a shop in Philly be charging $900 for it. I don't believe it.
And if they are I want one of you to pring out the price from the Kaminari website and show it and ask why the price is so high...
Im gonna call on the $900 price tag.

Rep Power: 0 Why are Philly prices so high? It's like a metro area? Supply/Demand, High Population, car clubs galore?
I usually get my parts off the internet, I think it's cheaper that way.
