planning on buying a HP header with downpipe from a guy thats selling it. The price is pretty good and i really want this bad boy but his car is an EX while mine is of the LX/DX camp. I know the two models have different exhausts but i dont have either a stock EX or DX exhaust...its a custom affair. So what i'm asking is if the EX header will fit in my DX, keeping in mind the non-stock exhaust i have.

i'd really appreciate an answer from someone that knows for sure soon, as i'm planning on buying this and dont want to wait to long and have someone else buy it.

well it would fit but with some modifications since the lx/dx cat converter is attached to the header you would be eliminating the cat converter so after you put on your ex header you would have to have a high flow cat installed . also you would have to have the piping fitted for the ex exhaust system since the lx/dx and ex exhaust pipings are different lengthe and stuff but yes the header will fit in your car youll just have to mod it for it to be legal . Or you could just
put a resonator underthe car and no cat so you gain horespower but thats not legal and i wouldnt suggest it.

I know this for shur since i have a lx with a ex exhaust setup and megan header

i was worried there. I am doing a custom exhaust setup so i'll just have the shop that i'm doing it at match everything up as they go ie. larger piping/lenghs.....

i may buy a another cat for further down....for the spring though i might just be going-minus the first cat. unless i can get one cheap

ok so i know that i need for my DX exhaust to be chaged to match the ex exhaust inorder for this header to fit. I'm ok with doing that. My question is..what exaclty needs to be changed? What am i asking the shop to change for me besides the size of the pipe?
