Removing Emblems

I have removed my DX emblem as well as my Honda emblem, however after removing the Honda Emblem i have excess glue. I was wondering what was the best way to remove the glue, I have removed some but i can still see the CIVIC glue up close. Thanks

use goo-gone. That stuff works great. I have a question also, though. What adhesive should I use to reattach an emblem? THis is attaching the "900" back onto a Saab, but I have heard of some spray-on stuff. What can I use that will stick, will not seep out around the edges when I place it on, and will not damage the paint? Thanks.

when i was taking off the "civic" and "lx" badge from my car, the LX badge took off a layer of clear coat so it looked retarded. i had to put the LX badge back on so i justed used 3M double sides tape and its still on there. its been through rain, storms and like 5 car washes (the ones u go through) and hasnt budged. u can try the same thing for the "900"

Can't you see the tape around the edges of the letters? 3M tape sounds like it works, but i think that would show in the holes in the 0's

theres this type of adhesive. it comes in a small toothpaste type of tube. you just put it on the emblem and it'll harden to make it stick. i dont know what its called though sorry.

oh and Nova.. if you cant find goo-gone, you can always use wd40. thats what i did with mine and it worked great. just make sure you dont put too much on the car. id spray it on a rag then wipe it on the area. you might want to wax or clean the area after everything is gone too.

doesnt really matter, you could just use what you use to wash your car with. just as long as you get the wd40 off.

You can use isopropyl alcohol to clean the excess glue off, that's what I did with my emblems, works fine and doesn't harm the paint or u can use windex or Tar Remover (haven't tried those two but it should work).

For the adhesive there's this 3M trim adhesive that looks kind of like electrical tape but the wrapping is red and the adhesive is thicker and black. It's use for car emblems, buy it at Pep Boys or Autozone for 3-4 bucks. Sticks tighter each time with heat.
