What brand of jack stands do you use?
Has anyone used Larin? It says they're 6 ton jack stands and they're on sale right now for $17. Is this a good brand? What kind do you have? What are things to look for/avoid when choosing jack stands?
Do you feel nervous when you're under your car and it's on jackstands?

lol!! this is funny cause your looking for jack stands like car parts hahaha....i always just thought jack stands are jack stands....i mean if they say 4ton...i trust them that they withstand 4ton!! but no i'm not nervous when i'm undermy car because i make sure i set my stands in the correct place and make sure there set.
i say get em ...who cares if there $17 dollars? i'm pretty sure they wouldn't market them if they couldn't hold the weight.!!

4 if you want the whole car lifted...or 2 and plus the jack but i wouldn't trust leaving the jack under the car though....just get four if you want all four legs off the ground!

i use my dads, dont know what brand but they hold great...how do i know this? when i was installing my tanabe exhaust i had to have the car facing down on a downhill slant and jack up the front to reach the cat. converter and the bolts where so hard to get loose i resorted to kicking the wrench when the car was up on the jack, i said it in my oringinal post about installing the tanabe and i'll say it here.....i never feared losing my leg as much as i did that day, lol.

hmm, Larin. Somebody's been shopping at Menards.
I have the 3-ton Larin jackstands. I don't think any jackstand will 'perform' better than another. As long as the construction is sturdy, I wouldn't worry. The 3-ton ones I have look well built and are quite sturdy. In fact, I'm going to be using mine today. It's winterization time.

d00d, all you have to do is drive your car up on some scrap pieces of wood to raise the chassis high enough to fit a jack. When I have my OEM wheels/tires on, the front jack point is too low (barely). Some 3/4" thick pieces of scrap lumber under the front wheels gave me the tiny bit of lift I needed to use my floor jack. Thicker pieces of wood (or whatever) might be requried, depending on how much difference there is. I think if it's over a 1-1/2" difference, it would probably be best to get a jack with a lower lift pad. :/
I've used my OEM jack once to work on my car. What a pain in the butt!
It's definitely an 'emergency use only' jack.
