I just bought an HP replica off ebay, cost me $130 canadian after everything was said and done. Its gonna be a pain in the *** to get it installed though. Nobody wants to touch it because of the removal af the stock cat converter. I donno what I'm going to do.

I have an 02 DX coupe. I'm interested in some input on exhaust systems for my car. Most companys only mention EX systems. Will these systems fit my car also,( same flanges, hangers, etc)?

Dx exhaust is the same as the lx right? Kamikaze has a direct bolt-on header for the lx which replaces the stock manifold/cat converter. But as for the rest of the exhaust, I don't know of a manufacturer that makes it.

Thank you for your help.
DX=LX engine wise. So if it fits a LX, I'm in!
What cat-back exhaust have any of you used?
I want something that increases power and fits nice under the car. Nothing hanging down too low. Nice tidy fit.
Let me know of your experiences, please.
Thanks again!

I don't know of any bolt-on exhausts for the LX. with the kamikaze header it is not a cat-back exhaust since the cat is gone. If you're going to shell out the coin for a cat-back exhaust, you might as well buy an EX header and then have your choice of exhaust setups.

good idea, Thanks!
I noticed GReddy, DC and many others selling a cat-back system for the EX and LX models. I was wondering if any of you have tried any of these out? How about you EX owners, tried the Greddy or DC cat-backs? And how do they perform, fit and sound?
Thanks for your input!

hey...let me try to answer your question...
I have 01 LX, and installed the OBX header for EX, random tech Cat. converter for EX, and custom cat-back exhuast w/ Apexi N1...

for header, there shouldn't be a problem to get it install, just use the EX model...it fits perfectly...

for cat, if you use Kamikaze LX header, then you will need to custom made the downpipe if you want a cat to be installed with the cat back...its kind of complicated...anyway Kamikaze LX leave you no choice but to use O2 simulator in order to bypass the check engine light...but you won't be able to pass emission test years later, plus without cat, its illegal too....
So the best way to go is to install EX model full exhuast system...but there is a problem, the our DX/LX front sway bar is different than EX front sway, so the options are to cut and extend the cat OR swap your DX/LX front sway to EX sway...I think the first choice is easier...that's what i did at least....

conclusion:
1. you need any brand name(HP is better) EX model header;
2. custom OR EX model(still have to cut and extend)cat. converter;
3. EX model cat-back

hope this helps!

I had it installed in Westgate Honda, you may wanna try there...but $$$$...so you got a cat that will pass emission?

well, i want to just swap in my old LX header/cat when emissions testing time comes again for me in 2 years, because there are better gains by not having a cat. we don't have emissions cops in London and I doubt we ever will. I think I might just sell it and buy the kamikaze lx header.
