LX exhaust into EX
hey guys, im stupid, silly and always change my mind
i did research on the internet and i couldnt find crap on what i was lookin for. so i decided to go here and see if u guys can help me out
1. has anyone done full header to muffler with brand name bolts on parts on a 01-03 LX (think they have the same exhuast system)
i really like the greddy evo cat back exhuast....but damn they dont make them for my 03 LX...i was searching around and i saw greddy makes header too...and again they dont make for my damn 03 LX.
2. how would i go around putting them on? what would i have to do, to have them on and drive it with out any problems?
thx u guys.

This is actually an easy conversion.
What you need is an EX header (and/or downpipe), EX front anti sway bar, and the EX exhaust of your choice.
Bolt it on and you're done.
And yes, GReddy works on the sedan. The coupe and sedan share the same chassis. There's no difference between the two.

It can be done easily by a shop. Like SlammedBlueEM2 said, get a aftermarket header that's made for the EX, then get a high flow cat (I recommend the Random Technology EX Cat) , then just get the GReddy EVO catback. All should bolt up... all you need to do is get the shop to extend the wires that run to the Cat because it's mounted in a different area then the EX.

he was saying....i should get an LX header and muffler.....bring those 2 items to the shop....and the shop will fill up the middle part (piping and high flow catalyst)
u guys think it will work?

Ya its pretty simple and yes you will have to have them weld in the cat converter the header is really simple and you can have them make you 2.25 inch piping all the way to the greddy evo muffler . Itll sound really good and give you more horespower

Doing it the way I mentioned is your best bet.... there will be no welding at all... everything should bolt up.
The only thing you have to worry about is the o2 wires not being long enough, but any shop can fix that.

no. get a header for a EX. buy a o2 bung, and a o2 simulator.
take the header and bung into a muffler shop and have them make you a three inch extention. 2.25" have them weld in your header.
make shure you install the o2 simulator first!!
then buy a muffler. you don't need to do your intermediate pipe unless you have mad compression, or turbo.

and the catatylic converter is about what? 18-24 inches?
i would think starting from the engine, with all those connec 2gether, the entire muffler would stick out behind the car
am i right?

I'm going to try some other places tomorrow. Makes me want to buy my own welder and do it myself.

Replacing your catalytic converter is NOT legal. You might as well just get the right header for your car that'll actually produce power.
Actually I just read some where that replacing your catalytic convertor is perfectly legal, just as long as it passes emmisions. And I just saw a list in import tuner of 50 state lega/carb exempt hi-flo cats.
