Question TYC Projectors......HELP!!!!

I had tried to figure out how to cut my daytime running lights from my 2001 Civic, which I just found out was a Canadian model. I had installed TYC Projectors bout 2 months ago until 3 weeks ago, the bulbs burned out. I don't know the reason why this happened, but I figure that if I were to cut the daytime running lights, my bulbs would last longer. As the owners manual says, I took out the two fuses that run the daytime running lights which can be found in the interior fuse box. After i removed both fuses, the daytime running lights were still working. That's why I'm here.....Why is it still running????? Is it because I have aftermarket headlights in now, that the lights won't cut off....I'm just completely lost. Can someone help me out with this one. I really appreciate it.

Thanks alot,
Suriknight

are you positive its the right fuse? make sure you follow the grid exactly. once a fuse is pulled, no current is supplied to that circuit unless there is a secondary power source.

I followed both the grid in the owners manual, and the grid on the fuse box, and the lights were still on. Since the lights were still on, I just put the fuses back in.....
