i think if you're getting new rims, at least upgrade to 16"s 15's are just a disgrace. I'll probably be getting my friend's stock 15" integra rims, but only because he's giving them to me for $100. Anyway, I think you should get 16s. They still don't look ricey, but look better than 15s.

Alright, G-Racing rims are not that strong. I had G-Racing Kugi's and one of the rims got destroyed by hitting a a little pothole at 25 mph. It cracked and dented the rim.

so do you think getting them wouldn't be a good idea? i was going to buy them for like 400 with tires. i know small rims don't look that good, but since their black, i think they would look okay.

also, they're glossy black, right? I saw an eclipse with flat black aftermarket rims, and it looked awful...shiny black is good though. I guess what I was trying to say is that with 16", you still retain good ride quality. Above that, you have so little tire that there isn't much to soften the ride (yes, tires to help a lot). And you don't have to worry about rubbing.

just wanted to add in.. ADR makes some good rims.

i have hit some crazy assss potholes and other road hazards. just to give u a pic of how hard i sometimes hit them.. all my electrica system seems to stop for a second. radio stops playing etc. like hardcore bumps.

but now ive learned most of the bumps in my area, so i can now avoid them. (thank god.. cuz now im lowered and have a body kit)

all my rims are still intact =)

Man dude... quit listening to these crazy people. If you want 15s... just make sure you spend the money to get light ones for go power. You can get some obscenely light 15's. I have no idea whatever it is you're looking at, but don't pick a flashy, showy looking design. You do that and get 15's it looks terrible. Simplicity is the game.

And for those of you who think 15's look bad... kindly refer yourselves to SlammedBlueEM2's ride.

the rims weigh like 12 lbs here is a link to them... i don't think any of you guys know what the rims look like... http://www.thedealonwheels.com/php/s...&brandsearch=1
but the ones im looking at are black...

so the question is, will these rims look good on a 03 red civic coupe! for about 400 dollars with the 195-50-15 Yokohama AVS tires!! i understand if ur getting chrome or something and u want 18s, but these are black racing rims!!!!!!!!!!!! should i get them or not?

what I would do is go to the photochop section. Get a picture of the rims, try to take a picture of your car at that same angle, and give 100 points to anyone who puts them on your car. That would be the best way. As for the weight, 12lbs sounds pretty good to me, but I would go with (if they make them in that size) Bridgestone Potenza RE950's. They're cheap (like $70 a tire, or close) and perform very well. For the performance all-season, by Consumer Reports, they were rated #2, and from their ratings I think shouldn've been #1.

Even if they're not the best, $400 is a deal. Go with them.

****... 195/50/15... those are rubber bands not tires. Good lord. You'll have to get some new tires. That cancels out the deal... cuz you can get 15's for $400 any day of the week.

Look at all the Cheap 15's

Theres a wheel called the Atech Finalspeed thats a race-proven version of that design.
5Zigen FN01R and FN01R-C
The most expensive I'm aware of with that design is the Ray's Gram Light 57C (~$240 in 15")

Theres a difference between a race wheel and whats made to look like a race wheel. Normally, the difference is pretty obvious... all you have to do is look at whats on race cars. If its some knockoff brand and people are telling you they're not strong, then I'd take their word for it.

i think if you get the "right" looking rims for our civics then it'll look nice. BUT, i think that getting 15s on our cars looks too small on our cars because we have a big wheel well, unlike previous gen civics. my friend has 17'' ADRs and i still think they look small.

what do u guys think of the 15' rota wheels on the red civic at hondawerx? heres the link http://www.hondawerx.com/ProjectRT.htm
Do u guys think that looks nice? cuz i have read civic also, i dont think that looks bad at all, and does anyone know if there is a difference in the rota wheels and the g-racing suzus in terms of performance and quality? and which ones would u guys rather get? and what are wrong with 195-50-15 Yokohama AVS tires? why are they rubber bands? i thought they were "performance tires?".. and in terms of performance, not particularly in racing or on the track, but aren't 15's the best rims to get in terms of performance? in like turning and accelerating? and 15s won't break if u hit a pothole right? someone tell me something interesting! with good FACTS! please!

You can get some Rotas + tires for 400. 15 inches, and they look like mugens, with the red lip. I think it looks better, but whatever you want.

With the law of diminishing returns in mind, you get what you pay for. Better rims will cost you more $$. Inexpenisive rims are prone to corrosion, damage, and are sometimes heavier than they should be.

If you want to save money, try to buy used... but make sure you see them in person. The pics on ebay, for example, can hide alot of curb rash etc. Also make sure the tires are still newish and usable.

black wheels will look good on any car. since you say your going to lower your car then don't listen to the guys who say the 15's will look to small. when you lower it, the wheel gap will be smaller so it will still look good. you might want to check the tire calculator to make sure your speedometer wont be off to much witht the wheel and tire size you want.
