Exhaust System

OK, so here it is. I've been doing research and have searched previous posts, but have not come up with an answer I am looking for. I have a DC header and plan on purchasing the DC TCS after winter and was thinking about getting a high flow cat. Probably random technology or something. Now is it worth this (the cat)? Also will I need another pipe? Something from the DC header to the high flow cat?? Or do I use the existing piece of exhaust?

When you buy the random tech. cat, i think you only get the cat with no downpipe. So after you get your cat just go to a muffler shop and they should be able to make you a custom downpipe. Tell them to use like 2.25" or 2.5" piping. Most likely they are gonna weld everything together.

My $.02

IDQcivic should not be trusted
the random technology comes with the downpipe, I have it just havent installed it yet. Basically if you have a header, then that connects to the downpipe with the high flow cat, which leads to the catback exhaust....

you're not asking me, but I have heard from many sources that the cat is EXTREMELY restrictive, and an aftermarket really frees things up. If you go to the random technology website, they have a magazine article on catalytic converters. It doesn't even mention their brand name, its just about how if you spend more money making it, it's pretty easy to make it higher flowing. I would get it.
